Pearl Artist and Grammy Award Winner Rhonda Larson was the featured guest artist for the Flute Society of Washington’s “Fall Flutations” festival. Her tremendous artistry was presented in three separate parts. A concert titled “One Woman, A World of Music” was performed with Rhonda’s virtual band on CD. Rhonda performed accompanied works and solo works on her 14K Gold Maesta as well as with an assortment of ethnic instruments from around the world. She then guided students in a group participation class designed for experiencing rhythm and encouraging self expression through improvisation. Finally, selected students had the chance to work with Rhonda in the masterclass portion of the festival. Rhonda will be performing with the band “Ventus” as part of a live web broadcast in January.
