Composer Richard Arnest recently presented a performance of two contrasting pieces written for flute quartet, "Jacob's Ladder" and "Occam's Laser." Pearl Flutes loaned the newest Bass Flute-Model PFB305 for use in the performance on May 11 in Cincinnati, OH

Danielle Hundley was invited to play for this performance and provided some comments after performing with Pearl's Bass Flute

"I had the treat of using a lovely Pearl Bass Flute to perform two pieces for flute quartet by Rick Arnest. The flute had a lovely tone in every register. The mechanism was responsive and flexible, with smooth action. The pieces demanded a variety of dynamics, colors and articulations-- which the instrument handled beautifully. It was a pleasure to play on the Pearl Bass Flute!"

Danielle is flutist with Conundrum, an ensemble dedicated to performing new American compositions. Danielle is a four-time grant recipient from the ACMP Foundation. She is on the faculty of the Cincinnati Music Academy and is a graduate of the Longy School of Music and The Ohio State University.
